The Jakarta legislative council vice chairman Inggar Joshua said here on Thursday that the council has distributed as many as 2,000 invitation letters relating to the induction ceremony.
According to him, the nine television stations will directly broadcast the induction ceremony.
The Jakarta`s General Election Commission announced recently that Joko Widodo popularly called as Jokowi and his running mate Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) have been elected the city`s new Governor and Vice Governor for 2012-2016.
Data obtained from the election commission showed, 2,472,130 of people or 53.82 percent of voters cast their ballots for Jokowi-Ahok pair in the second round of gubernatorial election on September 20.
The couple surpassed the number of votes received by Fauzi Bowo and his running mate Nachrowi Ramli by 2,120,815 or some 46.18 percent of the votes. (B003/YH)
