Kalianda (ANTARA News) - Two days of clash in South Lampung district, Lampung province, have claimed the lives of 14 people, police said.

Four of them were killed on Sunday and the rest on Monday, head of the South Lampung Police Resort Adj. Snr. Comr. Tatar Nugroho said on Tuesday.

He said four of the dead bodies were identified as Yahya Bin Abdulah (45), Marhadan (35), Alwin (35) and Solihin (35).

Solihin died while being treated at Abdul Moeloek Hospital in Bandarlampung, the capital of Lampung province, he said.

The bodies of 10 people killed on the second day of the clash on Monday remained unidentified by Tuesday.

"We found 10 people dead while combing plantations and farm land," he said.

Nine people were injured in the clash, he said adding most of them sustained gunshot and stab wounds.

He said a total of houses at Balinuraga and Sidoreno villages, 11 motorcycles and two school buildings were set to blaze during the clash.

Two Isuzu Panther vans and a Honda CRV jeep were also destroyed in the clash.

"We are still guarding the scene until security conditions return to normal," he said.(*)
