This conference was organised by the Indonesian government and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"Cooperation between the government and the KPK is important to eradicate corruption in Indonesia," said the vice president in his opening address.
According to him, the KNPK is an annual event, organised by the KPK.
The KNPK is held so that the relevant parties can work together to enhance the National Integration System (SIN).
Boediono added that the National Integration System can solve the issue of corruption.
"This system requires the cooperation of the public and the various institutions in the country to fight corruption," he noted.
The vice president also explained that the government has formulated the National Strategy for Corruption Prevention and Eradication (Stranas PPK 2012-2025 and Stranas PPK 2012-24) and the Presidential Regulation No.55/2012.
"The strategy and the regulation have been formulated to improve the Corruption Perception Index of the country, to ensure that the country`s policies are in line with the guidelines of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), and to enhance the National Integration System Index," he added.
