"The police, the KPK and the AGO should work together to fight corruption. There will be a government regulation with regard to this synergy," said Pradopo.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s National Police Chief, General Timur Pradopo, believes that the National Police, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Attorney General`s Office (AGO) should work together to fight corruption.

"The police, the KPK and the AGO should work together to fight corruption. There will be a government regulation with regard to this synergy," said Pradopo, on Monday.

The ministry of state apparatus empowerment and bureaucratic reform and the ministry of law and human rights are revising the government regulation with regard to the KPK, he said.

With regard to the 13 investigators whose duties at KPK have expired, Pradopo said the KPK can extend their tenure if the anti-graft agency needs their services.

"I have informed the KPK about the expiration. If KPK still needs the officers` services, the agency can extend their tenure," he said.

The 13 policemen, who are also KPK`s investigators, are Imam Turmudi, Robhertus Yohanes, Eddy Wahyu, Yohanes Ricard, Usman Purwanto, Novel Baswedan, Asep Guntur, Bagus Suropraptomo, Taufik Herdiansyah Zeinardi, Afief Yulian, Salim Riyad, Budi Santoso and Budi Nugroho.(*)
