Hatta said he was deeply saddened by the accident befalling his youngest son, M. Rasid Amrullah Rajasa, who was driving a BMW jeep when he crashed into a Daihatsu Luxio minivan on the toll road.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa has offered condolences over the death of two people in a fatal crash involving his son on the Jagorawi toll road on Tuesday morning.

"We express our deep condolences to the relatives of the victims," he said in a press conference here on Tuesday.

Hatta said he was deeply saddened by the accident befalling his youngest son, M. Rasid Amrullah Rajasa, who was driving a BMW jeep when he crashed into a Daihatsu Luxio minivan on the toll road.

"Shortly after hearing the news I asked my family to give assistance to the families of the victims immediately," he said.

He said his son who is currently traumatized by the accident is being treated at a hospital.

"We will soon visit the families of those killed and injured in the accident," he said.

He said he will leave the case to the police for legal process.

Two passengers in the minivan were killed in the accident, while three others sustained minor injuries.(*)
