"The local media industry will not remain silent."Manado (ANTARA News) - Photos of Indonesia`s independence proclamation on August 17, 1945, will be displayed on National Press Day (HPN), held on February 9, 2013, in Manado, North Sulawesi.
"A photo depicting Soekarno and Hatta reading the text of proclamation will be displayed," said Jooce Kumayas, Vice Chairman of the HPN Organising Committee, on Thursday.
He said photos of Indonesia`s independence proclamation, first lady Ibu Ani Yudhoyono and Indonesia`s development will be displayed on February 9, 2013.
He said several media personnel will attend this event. They will send the best photo on display to their photographer.
According to him, on HPN, the audience will be able to witness the journey and development of the media industry in Indonesia and abroad.
"The local media industry will not remain silent; it will showcase excellent photos on HPN," he said.
He added that the committee will send letters to the national media and the government of Indonesia so that they can participate in the event.
