Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Floods that have inundated most parts of Jakarta during the past three days have started to recede on Monday.

"Flood in Daan Mogot street, West Jakarta, has receded. The water depth there is only 10-20 centimeters which is better than three days ago of 40 centimeters," a spokesman of Jakarta Metropolitan Police stated here on Monday.

Floods in Kapten Tendean street (South Jakarta) and Gunung Sahari street (Central Jakarta) have also receded. However several potholes with diameter 10-20 centimeters occur everywhere in the locations.

Receding flood water also left mud and dust on Jakarta`s main streets such as in Sudirman and Kuningan.
