"The highest level reached two meter high," Adjunct Senior Commissioner Susnandi said on the scene here on Wednesday.
He predicted the situation would be normal by January 27. Tens of pumps meanwhile had been made available to dry the area.
Security personnel have been stationed in several points to assure security as most residents had left their homes or been evacuated following the inundation due to floods that began last Thursday following heavy rains.
Not only police officers but military (TNI) personnel and volunteers had been involved in securing the area.
"I have been here since Friday," Andri, a volunteer said.
He said he had helped distributing especially food aids coming from donors.(*)
