"Poverty and hardships did not stop Karno from helping others."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Social Affairs Minister Salim Segaf Al Jufri gave Rp5 million to the family of Karno (37), a volunteer, who was killed by strong currents present in a river, when he was trying to help flood victims last week.

"We have given compensation and expressed our condolences to Karno`s family members," said the minister on Friday.
