Chief of Kerinci`s Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Darifus said here on Sunday the landslide occurred at 7.30 pm on Saturday, injuring four others.
Another victim was reportedly still missing, he said.
Darifus said that the landslide took place at a site of PT Geothermal Pertamina Energi project. The sliding materials buried the company`s employees` houses.
The sliding materials pushed the employees` house, moving it away by about 50 meters. "The victims are employees of the company," Darifus said.
The four dead victims were Triyono (56), Ahmad Saibu (40), Ahmad Nasoka (43), and Yanto (33). Those injured were Herito (25), Ali (50), Edwin (20), and Nando (23).
