Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi inducted and took an oath of Brig. Gen. Benny Indra Pujihastono as the new Presidential Military Secretary here on Friday.

Brig. Gen. Benny Indra Pujihastono replaced Rear Marshal Hadiyan Sumitha Atmadjaya who was then promoted to the post of the National Air Defense Commander, according to a press statement issued by the State Secretariat here on Friday.

"As I always mentioned before, we have set the induction of state officials as part of a reform of bureaucracy. We continue implementing the bureaucracy reform in an effort to improve the quality and performance of duties at the State Secretariat," Sudi said.

The Presidential Military Secretary has the obligation, among other things, to help coordinate the security matters of the president, vice president and their families, state guests at the heads of state and government levels. (B003/S012)
