Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Jakarta governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will distribute posters exposing the capital city`s budget for 2013 to be put up at village and sub-district offices for the public to see.

"They will be ready next week and would immediately be put up at village, sub-district offices and other offices for the public to see," he said here on Wednesday.

He said the city administration would disseminate information about the budget to the public through various methods as a step to improve openness.

With the policy "it is hoped the public would be able to know about the city`s budget and monitor its use," he said.

He said the budget information would also be posted at the city administration`s site www.jakarta.go.id for the next two to three days.

The city`s budget for 2013 has been disbursed as of Tuesday marked by the submission of the Lists of Budget Uses to the administration`s working units.

The total of the budget for this year is not changed or the same as when it was first passed in January at Rp49.98 trillion.

The governor has asked the administration`s working units to immediately carry out the programs they have planned especially relating to flood, congestion, education, health and housing problems. (*)
