Air China eyes growth in the North American market. The New York route upgrade is part of the carrier's strategic move to cement its foothold in the North American market and deliver better customer experience. Air China will increase its Beijing-New York service to 11 weekly flights starting May 31, and the flights will be operated using the B777-300ER, an aircraft type popular with business travelers.
