Padang, W Sumatra (ANTARA News) - A total of 45 junior soccer teams have confirmed to participate in the Manchester United Premier Cup (MUPC) tournament due to be held in the PSTS Tabing soccer field on April 23-25, 2013.

The MUPC organizing committee chairman for West Sumatra, Yulius Dede made the remarks here on Friday, adding that the participants will also include the football school students of 15 years old.

According to him, two winning teams out of the 45, will compete in Sumatra Regional-I in Palembang, South Sumatra, to fight for a ticket for the world level tournament in Manchester, England in June this year.

Participants of the Sumatra Regional-I will come from Palembang, Padang, Medan and Lampung.

Of the 45 teams, 22 are from Padang, one from Dharmasraya district, two from Padang Pariaman district, two from Agam district, four from Tanah Datar district, two from Padang Panjang city, one from Solok city, nine from 50-kota district, one from Payakumbuh city, and another one from Sawahlunto city.(*)
