"The meeting in Bali is the most important part of the process of the post-2015 development agenda."
Nusa Dua (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono attended the 4th Meeting High Level Panel of Eminent Persons (HLPEP) on Post-2015 Development Agenda in Nusa Dua, Bali on Wednesday.

Held at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), the meeting is jointly chaired by Presidents Yudhoyono of Indonesia and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia.

British Prime Minister David Cameron should have led the meeting with Presidents Yudhoyono and Sirleaf but he presented his point of views through a video conference.

The discussions of the Panel in Bali will focus on Partnership and Cooperation for Development, with a focus on strategies for implementation and opportunities to shape a global consensus on the new development agenda.

Presidential special staff for international relations Teuku Faizasyah said Indonesia hosted the HLPEP meeting this time after it was held in New York in September 2012, London in November d2012, and Monrovia in January 2013.

"The meeting in Bali is the most important part of the process of the post-2015 development agenda," Faizasyah said here on Wednesday.

According to him, the meeting aims to enable a dialog on emerging priorities across key stakeholders, and a continued emphasis on ensuring that the aspirations of communities and citizens are at the heart of deliberations on the new development agenda.

"The experience of Millennium Development Goals signifies that the post-2015 development agenda needs the support of global partners for its implementation," he noted.
