Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter Scale jolted northeast of Tolikara, Papua on Saturday at 11.42 Western Indonesia Time.

According to the Indonesian Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the epicenter of the quake was located at 3.20 degree of southern latitude and 138.75 degree of eastern longitude, or 56 km northeast of Tolikara, Papua, 228 km northwest of Jayapura, or 3.565 km northeast of Jakarta, and at the depth of 173 km below sea level.

The earthquake has no tsunami potential.
