"The TNI (Indonesian Defense Forces) Commander is going to enter the retirement period. The Police Chief is in fact to retire in January next year. But, because the police head has very important tasks regarding the General Elections 2014, therefore the replacement could not be done that year," the president said in an interview with Tempo magazine last Friday, as quoted by the report on the website.
The military chief would be replaced because of his retirement age, the head of state said.(*)
