Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono plans to communicate with the leadership of the House of Representatives (DPR) soon with regard to plans to revise the budget.

"I will meet with the DPR leaders immediately to unite views and a government team will also communicate with the DPR with regard to assure certainty in our economy," he said at a cabinet meeting here on Wednesday.

He said the government is currently still processing the revised 2013 budget before it would be submitted to the DPR for discussion.

The revised budget includes reduction of fuel subsidy and compensation for the poor.

"The government is still processing the draft revised 2013 budget including deficit and fuel subsidy reduction, fuel price changes and compensation, which we will discuss later with the DPR," he said.

President Yudhoyono said "in view of its urgency, the government hopes there would be good cooperation between the government and the DPR. The government does not like to see uncertainty to last long and so immediately after an agreement is reached between the government and the DPR fuel subsidy reduction would immediately be implemented."

On the occasion President Yudhoyono also asked ministries and state institutions concerned to save the budget to maintain fiscal condition.

"As part of efforts to cut a budget deficit in ministries the government has also called on heads of non-governmental institutions to also maintain fiscal conditions," he said.(*)
