This is what will make peace and ensure security for us and you."
Dead Sea, Jordan (ANTARA News/Xinhua-OANA) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Saturday (May 25) here that the opportunity for making peace with the Israelis still exists.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa in Jordan, the Palestinian president called on Israel to release the Palestinian detainees, evacuate settlements, end settlement activities, dismantle the separation barrier in the West Bank and end the occupation of the Palestinian territories.

"This is what will make peace and ensure security for us and you," Abbas said.

"The Israeli government is still procrastinating and avoiding making peace, but we still want just and comprehensive peace according to the roadmap and the Arab Peace Initiatives," he added.
