... only a few people in major cities already aware of AEC... "Jakarta (ANTARA News) - General Chief of Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) Raja Sapta Oktohari said the government was still weak in familiarizing the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) 2015 to whole country.
"The familiarization of AEC 2015 is still weak. Consequently, only a few people in major cities already aware of AEC but a lot of them in suburban areas are still not familiar about it," he said here on Wednesday.
According to him, among officials of the government is still has different perception toward AEC 2015. So then, lack preparation of AEC 2015 has occurred.
"It would not good for us. The AEC 2015 should give us a big benefit due to its economic integration among ASEAN members," he said.
"Indonesia is the biggest country and its people in ASEAN. We would play an important roles, Indonesia should not become a follower."
Raja Sapta said discussed and recommended about the publication with Vice President Boediono at Wednesday.
He also reported the recommendations from Central Board of Hipmi such as result of national congress meeting in Pontianak.
