The government sets the country`s crude oil and condensate production at 840,000 barrels per day in the state budget.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Head of the upstream oil and gas regulating agency (SKK Migas) Rudi Rubiandini predicted that the country`s production of crude oil and condensate will fall short of the target.
Rudi said the country`s production of crude oil and condensate is expected to reach only 834,000 barrels per day on the average this year.
"Currently, production averages 831,700 barrels per day and in the whole year the production is expected to average 834,000 barrels per day," Rudi said here on Tuesday.
The government sets the country`s crude oil and condensate production at 840,000 barrels per day in the state budget.
Rudi said he is optimistic the production could increase to 840,000 barrels per day in the second half of the year although production from Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) block would fall because of work to repair its platform.
An increase in production expected from the West Madura Offshore (WHO) would offset the decline from the ONWJ block in the second half of the year.
The country`s gas production, however, exceeded the target set in the state budget.
In the first half of 2013, gas production reached 6,998 BBTUD or not up to the target of 7,175 BBTUD, but in the whole year the production is expected to exceed the target, Rudi said. (*)
