According to the Presidential Office information website, an ad hoc, emergency, savior work group was established to save the Oroumiyeh Lake, headed by the energy minister, whose main members include the agriculture Jihad minister, the interior minister, and the head of the Environment Protection Organization and a representative of the deputy president for planning and strategic supervision.
This work group was commissioned to use the background of the already conducted studies and technical research works in the field and to present their proposals for saving the Oroumiyeh Lake to the government within a two-month period.
The cabinet ministers also commissioned the Central Bank and the concerned ministries to adopt the necessary measures for unloading the cargo ships and customs clearance of the dire necessities of the people.
The government also annulled 10 ratifications of the former government which had allocated special bonuses for real and legal entities, or allocated excess amounts of money to the approved budgets for different organizations.
Based on an order issued by the president, the executive organs were also commissioned to do all they can within 100 days aimed at improving the living conditions of the public, and announce their plans for the purpose to the cabinet within one week.
