IH was picked up by police from his rented house at Jalan Mandor Hasan, in the sub-district of Cipayung on Tuesday night, Jakarta police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said here on Wednesday.
Police also detained three other IH`s unidentified friends, who were in the same house when the police came to arrest IH.
Chairman of the RT005/06 neighborhood association Sain Said (63) said he was asked by the police to accompany them to IH`s rented house without telling him reasons for the arrest.
IH held an identity card showing that he hailed from Lampung and worked as a trader.
He has stayed in the rented house for a month.
Earlier a report said the police`s special anti terror squad known as Densus 88 on Tuesday arrested a number of terrorist suspects in two locations in the West Java city of Bekasi, 20 kilometers east of Jakarta.
Rikwanto said police also confiscated a number of locally assembled bombs, firearms and bullets in raids on Tuesday night.
Densus 88 picked up a suspect, Iswahyudi (39), in a rented house at Jalan Pintu Air, Harapan Mulya, and four others from a house at Jalan Mator Hasibuan.
