"Thank God, we have the same view. Both of us hope that the Egyptian problem gets solved peacefully and the conflicting parties reach a sustainable resolution so no more lives are lost," President Yudhoyono stated.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - After holding talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak about the current crisis in Egypt on Friday, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has revealed that both leaders share the same view on how to resolve the conflict in that country.

"I spoke to the Malaysian prime minister on the phone this afternoon, and we shared our thoughts on the latest developments in Egypt," he told the press at the Presidential Palace compound here on Friday.

"Thank God, we have the same view. Both of us hope that the Egyptian problem gets solved peacefully and the conflicting parties reach a sustainable resolution so no more lives are lost," President Yudhoyono stated.

The head of state said he is also in constant touch with Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, who is now in New York to meet with a number of entities in the United Nations, including the Human Rights Council.

"Our minister has expressed Indonesia`s stand on the Egyptian issue during his meetings," he continued.

Keeping in view the improving security conditions in Egypt over the past few days, the President said, there was no urgency to evacuate Indonesian citizens from Egypt.

"There is no evacuation plan for now. But if any Indonesian student there wishes to return home, the government will facilitate their repatriation," he added. (*)
