London (ANTARA News) - Twelve Moroccan businessmen will attend the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), which is being held in Jakarta from October 16 to 20, the Indonesian embassy in Morocco said on Friday.

It confirmed the businessmen`s plan to attend the expo during a business gathering held at the embassy recently, the embassy's minister counselor, Tanti Widyastuti, told the ANTARA News correspondent in London.

Indonesia`s Ambassador to Morocco Tosari Widjaja had invited the businessmen to the five-day expo to assess Indonesia`s quality products that are marketed in Morocco or re-exported to Europe, the Middle East, Africa and America, Widyastuti stated.

"Ambassador Tosari Widjaja invited the Moroccan businessmen to the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) scheduled for October 16 to 20 in Jakarta," she added.

At the gathering, Widjaja spoke of Indonesia's success as one of the world`s 16 largest economies and a member of the Group of Twenty (G-20) industrialized and emerging market economies.

He also pointed out that the 2012 TEI had brought together 2,000 exhibitors and attracted 5,000 businessmen from 90 countries, with more than US$1 billion worth of transactions having being made at the event.

Widyastuti pointed out that the business gathering was also intended to encourage the Moroccan businessmen to become buyers at the TEI.
