Beijing (ANTARA News/Xinhuanet) - A Texas-based theater chain has banned Madonna over the weekend after the pop star was reported rudely texting during a movie premiere.

Last week, the New York Post`s Page Six reported that Madonna kept texting during the New York Film Festival premiere of 12 Years a Slave. According to the post, when a filmgoer tapped her on the shoulder and told her to put her phone away, the blonde allegedly and shockingly hissed back, "It`s for business... enslaver!"

As the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain has long had a strict no-talking and anti-texting policy for its theaters, Alamo founder and CEO Tim League decided to shame the superstar and tweeted that Madonna would no longer be welcome at the chain until she `apologizes to movie fans.`

When League spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the ban on Saturday, he said, "Yeah, I.m serious, but I don`t think it really affects her life that much."

"Now that it seems to have taken hold, sure, I`m going to enforce it," League added.

Madonna has yet to respond to the reactions or to the rather anecdotal-sounding initial report.(*)
