Bukittinggi, West Sumatra (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono chaired a limited meeting with a number of governors and related ministers at Bung Hatta Palace here on Tuesday to discuss food security.

At 9 am local time the head of state started the meeting that will last up to 1 pm with the governors and related ministers.

Present at the meeting were among others Governors Alex Noerdin of South Sumatra, Teras Narang of Central Kalimantan, Muhammad Zainul Majdi of West Nusa Tenggara, Soekarwo of East Java, Abraham Atururi of West Papua, Syahrul Yasin Limpo of South Sulawesi, and West Java Deputy Governor Dedy Miswar.

Also present at the meeting were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Rajasa, Health Minister Nafsiah Mboi, Transportation Minister EE Mangindaan, Culture and Education Minister Muhammad Nuh, Finance Minister Chatib Basri, and State Minister for National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Armida Alisjahbana and other related officials.

President Yudhoyono has been on a four-day working visit to West Sumatra since Monday until Thursday to attend a number of events in Bukittinggi and Padang, which include inspecting a library and the Kelok Sembilan bridge at Limapuluh Kota district, as well as visiting the Istano Basa Pagaruyung palace at Tanah Datar and attending World Food Day in Padang.
