The ongoing success of Grom Social continues to attract key relationships with the latest being Kendall Schmidt of Big Time Rush/Heffron Drive. Schmidt is an American actor and singer-songwriter. He is best known for playing Kendall Knight in the highly viewed Nickelodeon show, Big Time Rush, and being a lead singer in the group of the same name and has played roles on several TV shows such as ER, Without a Trace, Phil of the Future, Ghost Whisperer, Gilmore Girls, and Frasier. On joining the Grom Team, Schmidt remarked, "I am thrilled to be joining forces with Grom Social, a platform built on a foundation of family values. I've been lucky enough to reach young people through my music, and I respect what Zach Marks has done to reach youth via his social network. I'm confident that together we can further demonstrate the power of positive living: a healthy lifestyle, an anti-bullying message, and a kind heart."

Zach Marks agreed stating, "The addition of Kendall to the Grom team has me personally stoked because many of us Groms follow Kendall and Big Time Rush, we love his music, as well as we agree with his stance on no-bullying and healthy living!" Marks added that Kendall will share his experiences on healthy living and support Grom's anti-bullying campaign by interacting on the site with weekly posts and live chats throughout the year.

Darren Marks, CEO of Grom Social, announced a strategic initiative to increase Grom Social's content and member engagement. Marks explained that Grom Social has contracted with a professional production team to produce 35 new episodes, or "Grom Spots," in early 2014. "These fun, short web videos will focus on Grom Social, adventures at the Grom Pound, as well as the continuing journeys of Marks' family," stated Marks. The production team will consist of Josh Lehman, Nicole Orozco, and Katie Guzman. These highly skilled professionals have prior experience in film production at industry leaders such as MTV, Nickelodeon, and Animal Planet.

Lastly, Zach Marks and Grom Social were recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as the "5th Hottest Story in Social Media for 2013" (http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/230491). CEO Darren Marks stated, "This recognition and the addition of people like Kendall Schmidt continue to validate our business model, as well as our appeal to the targeted market."
