Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Japanese government offers a grant 550 million yen worth of health equipment for Indonesia to be used in three hospitals in the country.

"If the cooperation is clear, we would be offered an aid worth 550 million yens for hospitals in Indonesia," deputy health minister Ali Ghufron said at a Medical Excellence JAPAN Seminar here on Thursday.

Ali said endoscopes and hospital beds would be given to Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) Central Hospital in Jakarta, Dr Hasan Sadikin Central Hospital in Bandung, and Sanglah Central Hospital in Denpasar.

Other than Ali Ghuffron, the Medical Excellence JAPAN Seminar, which is an Indonesia-Japan Medical Collaboration was also attended by Director General For Commerce and Information Policy METI of Japan Ishikawa, Minister Charges daffaires ad interim of Japanese embassy in Jakarta Junji Shimada and Director of Medical Excellence Japan Makio Uchida.
