Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State telecommunications operator Indosat has won a Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award, given by a leading research company Roy Morgan based in Australia, .for the category of Mobile Network of The Year Indonesia 2013.

This award will motivate the company to provide better services to its customers, Indosat President Director & CEO Alexander Rusli said in a press statement released on Thursday.

"We will continue to develop and modernize networks to improve cellular services particularly for data users," he said.

To improve its cellular networks, Indosat is in the process of completing a network modernization program which was launched in 2012, he said.

The program which applies state-of-the-art technology has been implemented in a number of cities in and outside Java, he said.

The program will provide new networks with stronger signals, broaden service coverage and reduce significantly handset battery consumption, he said.

The awards were given based upon the results of their main research called "Roy Morgan Single Source", a syndicated survey of consumers including demography, opinions and views, activities and lifestyle, and information on a wide range of products consumed and bought by consumers.(*)
