...we discuss their performances and the latest political developments prior to the general elections."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Commander of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) General Moeldoko reiterated that he has instructed all heads of the Main Commands to be neutral in the general elections 2014.

"Neutrality is a must for TNI in the general elections. In every event, I affirm that the public should not be pessimistic, should not be suspicious of the TNI neutrality," Moeldoko emphasized in a Coffee Morning event at the TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Friday.

He asked the public not to have doubt about the neutrality of TNI in the general elections.

In the past, TNI was not neutral because it was instructed to do so, but now the neutrality came out from the military officers conscience, he remarked.

In the meeting with the main commanders, Moeldoko evaluated the performances of the Army, Air Force and Navy.

"In the evaluation meeting, we discuss their performances and the latest political developments prior to the general elections," he noted.
