The materials are many but in principle they are about how to improve the country`s economy."Solo, Central Java (ANTARA News) - Indoneisan presidential candidate Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is ready to engage in a presidential debate against his rival, Prabowo Subianto, on Sunday, which is to be broadcast nationwide.
"I have already prepared the material along with our economic team just now here in Solo and the materials are adequate," he said on the sidelines of his visit to Islamic figure Habib Syaech bin Abdulqodir Assegaf, here on Saturday.
All the materials for the debate have been made ready and they are all about economic matters, he said.
"The materials are many but in principle they are about how to improve the countrys economy," he said.
Regarding his presence at the residence of Habib Syaech bin Abdulqodir Assegaf he said that it was a mere visit to further a relationship.
"I have known him long. While I was mayor of Solo I often met him but now I seldom meet him, and since I had the opportunity I wished to see him," he said.
He met Habib Syaech bin Abdulqodir Assegaf behind closed doors.
"Right now, Habib Syaech bin Abdulqodir Assegaf has advised me to be patient in dealing with a lot of smear campaigns against me and not to get angry and take revenge," he said.
Jokowi said Habib Syaech bin Abdulqodir Assegaf also advised him to care of the poor and their welfare if he was later given a mandate to lead the country.
