According to the quick count, which has gathered 82 percent of its data sample across Indonesia, presidential candidate Jokowi and his running mate Jusuf Kalla have received 52.45 percent of votes followed by Prabowo Subianto and his running mate Hatta Radjasa with 47.55 percent of votes.
The quick count result can be viewed in Antaras website www.antaranews.com.
However, the quick count conducted by RRI and Antara is not the official result of the 2014 presidential election. The official result will be announced by the General Elections Commission (KPU) on July 22 after a thorough counting of votes in polling booths in Indonesia.
Indonesia is holding presidential elections on July 9, 2014.
The election is contested by the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa pair and the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla duo.
According to the KPU, a total of 190,307,134 voters have been registered (including 2,038,711 overseas voters), with 486,866 polling stations across the archipelago.
