"Jokowi should maintain what President Yudhoyonos government has formed with Malaysia and continue to expand it in various fields," Prayitno remarked here on Wednesday.
The ambassador pointed out that Yudhoyonos government has several accomplishments to its name, such as the settlement of the land and sea demarcation line between Indonesia and Malaysia, efforts to increase trade volume to reach US$30 billion by the end of 2015, and improvement in cultural cooperation.
According to Prayitno, there are several Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia who need serious attention from Jokowis government.
"Therefore, Jokowi is expected to continue to strengthen the already strong and good relations between Indonesia and Malaysia," the Indonesian envoy noted.
