The main substance of the Draft 2015 State Budget (RAPBN) takes into account only the basic necessities of governance and service to the community, Yudhoyono said.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said that the Draft 2015 State Budget has provided space for the new government to improve and implement new programs.

The president when delivering a speech on the Draft 2015 State Budget and its Financial Notes at the House of Representatives (DPR) plenary session here on Friday said that the state budget of the State Ministry and the State Budget Agency in 2015 was only a baseline.

The main substance of the Draft 2015 State Budget (RAPBN) takes into account only the basic necessities of governance and service to the community, the president noted.

"I hope this measure can provide a broad space for the new government in its effort to implement the planned work programs," Yudhoyono explained.

The state budget has been formulated considering the transition from the current administration to the next, he noted.

Yudhoyono, whose second term of office ends on October 20, 2014, expressed his appreciation to the DPR for their cooperation in the last decade.

Meanwhile, the government has proposed an economic growth of 5.6 percent in the state budget, considering the improvement in economic fundamentals and economic stability as well as conducive external factors.

"Global economic turmoil is predicted to continue next year, but improvement in the world economy is also expected to take place. Therefore, Indonesian economic growth in 2015 is expected to reach 5.6 percent," the president affirmed.

In addition, the government also disclosed its assumption on the inflation rate in the state budget at 4.4 percent.

He added that the efforts to control inflation rate will be supported with efforts to guarantee the stability of supplies and distribution of public needs, and efforts to increase coordination among the fiscal authorities and Bank Indonesia (the central bank).

The government has also predicted that the value of the rupiah currency will be at around Rp11,900 per US dollar. (*)
