"Backed by comprehensive efforts to promote and improve the event, this Fair will be more professional than ever," says Wang Zhiping, Vice-Chairman and Secretary General of Canton Fair.
With a floor space of nearly 1.2 million square meters, the 116th Canton Fair will house 60,000 stands, divided into 51 exhibition sections and 16 product categories. For the first time, the event will see national and international pavilions interspersed, with overseas appliance and textile companies exhibiting together with Chinese counterparts.
The 116th Fair will also see the continuation of its popular Media Resource Exchange Program (MREP). This program has the potential to connect 200,000 global buyers with over 24,000 Chinese suppliers and the wider Chinese market. 21 trade and business organizations from around the world are already involved, with another 10 looking to join.
Promotional and marketing initiatives have been ramped up significantly for this Fair, with 30 online video-based publicity campaigns reaching out to twice as many countries as before. The new "i-Win" campaign allows VIP brand exhibitors to team up with Canton Fair to send out bespoke invitations to foreign business partners, while the buyers invited via "i-Win" can enjoy speedy registration, as well as the organizer's help in facilitating trade introductions. Continuing the cooperation with China Southern Airlines, buyers flying between New York and Guangzhou will be offered discounted fares.
Canton Fair also spread its influence on social network including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. On its recently launched and officially verified Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/CantonFairOnline), visitors can be updated on latest trade show notice, industrial trend, tips for business travel, and local fun facts. There are various buyer campaigns, such as "ARNB" offers generous 100USD financial reward to first-time registrations from USA.
"With all of these measures in place, I am confident that together Fair participants and organizers face a bright future," says Wang Zhiping. "We extend a warm welcome to all involved."
