Competition between countries was no longer restricted to industrialization and capital and mass production. The most important aspect was the creative qualities of human resources, Ahok, as the acting governor is popularly called, said here on Monday.
According to him, in the future, one will no longer look at countries as large or small, but how well their human resources produce creative products or add value to their products.
"Moreover, we have not managed our maritime potential properly. If it is maximized, it will give us many advantages," he added.
Ahok observed he was proud to attend the presidential inauguration in the Parliament.
"I am thrilled and proud, especially because I have been supporting Jokowi," he noted.
He expressed optimism that Jakartas development will be faster now because of its synergy with the central government. The synergy will run better under the leadership of Jokowi, he stressed.
Ahok is scheduled to attend Jokowis speech at the national monument.
