Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Supervisory Board of the Supreme Court imposed disciplinary sanctions on 10 judges between October to December 2014.

Five of the judges received heavy sanctions; one received a light sanction; and four judges were given moderate sanctions, Head of the Supervisory Board Sunarto was quoted as saying on the Supreme Courts website on Thursday.

The five judges who received heavy sanctions were identified by their initials. Of these five, BS SH M Hum, M Hib SH, and Tg Ind SH have been suspended for two years, while Ed C SH MH has been suspended for eight months, and Iw Hr Wt SH MH, one year.

In addition, an ad hoc judge of the Yogyakarta District Court, identified as Dr J Er Is SH MH, also received serious punishment and was dishonorably discharged.

The judge identified by initials S Pjn SH M Hum who received a moderate sanction has been suspended for six months.

Four judges identified by their initials as H Hsy Nr SH MH, Ach Hr Sho SH, Dr Asdr MH, and Drs Mhs SH MH received oral warnings.

However, the Supreme Court made no mention of the reasons behind the imposition of these sanctions on the judges.
