Report circulating among journalists said that the KPK employes grouped in KPK employee forum (Wadah Pegawai KPK) would submit a petition on Wednesday to express their stand on the decision.
The report said that KPK employees would protest the decision of the new KPK leaders, demand KPK leaders to seek review of pre trial decision annulling KPK charges against Budi Gunawan and demand the KPK leaders to openly explain strategy of eradication of corruption to the employees.
"If the petition is submitted to the KPK leaders, I have to say that I was appointed by the President . I would return (the mandate) to the president as the head of the state. If the president then think I am not firm I would gladly resign," Ruki said here early on Tuesday.
KPK has announced that further investigations into the corruption charges against Budi Gunawan would be taken over by the Attorney General office.
KPK has charged the three star general with involvement in suspicious transactions resulting in the cancellation of his installation as new police chief by the president.
The Budi Gunawan case has triggered protracted conflict between KPK and police which, in what looked like a retaliation, named two top KPK leaders as suspects who consequently be suspended in line with the kPK regulation.
In a bid to end the conflict, the president cancelled installation of Budi Gunawan and instead named Comr.Gen. Badorin Haiti as new police chief. At the same time the president named Ruki and two others to fill vacant positions in KPK leadership.
Ruki has good reputation he developed when he was chairman of the anti graft body the first time it was established several years earlier.
"I am not looking for a job. I have nothing to lose. It is all right with me . We just follow the procedure , return the mandate to the president," Ruki said lightly on Tuesday.
However, he said he had not received report of any plan of action or petition.
"I have never heard of it before and I have to say I am not convinced that there is such thing," he told reporters.(*)
