Blitar (ANTARA News) - Police in East Javas Blitar City has arrested three officials of PT Dua Belas Suku (DBS) for alleged investment fraud.

"The three suspects are being detained at the police station. They were arrested following a complaint by customers who claimed they had been cheated," spokesman of Blitar City Police, 1st Insp. Soewoko.

He said the police had earlier investigated the three suspects, identified by their initials as HI, JR and LI, in response to customers complaints.

The customers had lodged complaints as they had not received the yields on their money invested in the company, he said.

Two more suspects, identified by their initials as JE and NA, had not been arrested in the case. They are the owners of the company.

Both JE and NA were not detained as they were allegedly sick. They had also dishonored summons from the police to undergo questioning for the same reason, he said.

"We will assign a doctor from the police to check on their health," he said.

Soewoko said the police had so far questioned 16 people who had fallen victim to the fraud. Some of them had suffered losses amounting up to one billion rupiah.

The police also seized two Toyota Camry sedans and a Toyota Fortuner jeep from the suspects.
