Presidential security guards were seen securing the entrance of the JCC on Saturday, and only those with official identity cards for the event were allowed to enter the building.
In addition, police and military joint security officials have also increased security in the area around the Bung Karno sports stadium, as well as along the path leading to the JCC.
On Saturday morning, Vice President Jusuf Kalla inspected the preparations made at the JCC and said that they were 98 percent complete.
"In Bandung, 95 percent of the work was completed yesterday, but in Jakarta, it is 98 percent," Kalla affirmed.
He noted that the anniversary celebrations of the AAC this year would serve as a good momentum to evaluate inter-state relations among countries in Asia and Africa for the last six decades.
"The AAC will also serve as an evaluation of what has happened in the last 60 years in Asia and Africa and of what really worked and what did not," he remarked.
Before going to the JCC, the vice president also inspected preparations made at the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, which will be the location for transit and passport checks for the state guests who will attend the event.
