I hope these cards can be very useful and productive."
Sleman (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) distributed three social cards: the Indonesian Health Card (KIS), Indonesian Smart Card (KIP), and the Prosperous Family Card (KKS) in the Taman Martani Kalasan village, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Monday.

President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana, accompanied by several working cabinet ministers and Governor of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX, attended the launch of the second phase of distribution of the three cards in Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta.

"I hope these cards can be very useful and productive," the president affirmed.

In Sleman, the president handed out the KKS to 1,806 families, 1,216 KIP, and 4,415 KIS.

The president urged the people to not hesitate and file any reports if they experience poor hospital service while using the KIS.

"I will not close my eyes, and if inappropriate service is provided to the card holders, the matter will be addressed to the minister of health. Not many private hospitals have been cooperating with the Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan). We are urging them to accept the healthcare system, or we will revoke their permit. That is what we want to do to fix the problem," President Jokowi emphasized.

With regard to the KIP, cash assistance will be given to the students of elementary, junior high, and high schools.

The KKS will provide Rp600 thousand per family this year and will be given again next year, if the budget is available.

Several officials attending the occasion were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Education Minister Anies Baswedan, Health Minister Nila F. Moeloek, Minister Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and Director of Health BPJS Fahmi Idris.
