One of the two suspects was Astuti`s boyfriend."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The body of Indonesian national Wiji Astuti (37), who was murdered in Hong Kong, will be sent home soon, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
"The Hong Kong police have allowed the Indonesian Consulate General to receive the victims corpse and send it home," Arrmanatha Nasir, the spokesman, stated here on Thursday.
He added that the Hong Kong police will hand over Astutis body to the Indonesian Consulate General (KJRI) on Monday, June 22, following which it will be sent home to Surabaya in East Java on Tuesday, June 23.
With regard to the murder of Wiji Astuti, Nasir noted that the Hong Kong police had named two persons on Wednesday, June 10, as the suspects behind the homicide.
"One of the two suspects was Astutis boyfriend. He has been detained by the police and has helped in the reconstruction (of the murder)," Nasir pointed out.
Astuti, who hailed from Wonokerto village in Bantur sub-district in Malang, East Java, was an overstayer in Hong Kong.
Her body was found on Monday, June 8, by a few pedestrians passing by Chang Sha Street in Mong Kok district, Hong Kong, at 10:45 a.m. local time.
Astuti was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, a citizen of Hong Kong who was a drug dealer.
