Denpasar (ANTARA News) - The corpse of a British citizen, identified as 49-year-old Mervyn Robert Greer, who fell from the second floor of Mercure Hotel here has been admitted at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Sanglah Hospital.

"The victim (Mervyn Robert Greer) died less than eight hours before the inspection (of his body)," Head of Sanglah Hospitals Institute of Forensic Medicine Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Alit said here on Tuesday.

The autopsy found bruises on the victims face and an open wound on his right elbow, he added.

In addition, Alit admitted that fractures were found on the victims jaw, neck and upper right arm.

"An autopsy should be conducted to find out the cause of death of the victim," Alit stated, adding that his side had received a request for an autopsy from the police, but the victims family and the British consulate had yet to ask for one.
