Minister calls for preservation of prehistoric Harimau Cave in Sumatra

Officers transfer a Sumatran tiger cub (Panthera tigris sumatrae) to the West Sumatra Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) wildlife care facility in Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra, early Friday (May 22, 2026). The West Sumatra BKSDA evacuated the tiger after it was caught in a wild boar snare in Nagari Padang Mantigi Utara, North Rao District, Pasaman Regency, before moving it to the care facility for observation and treatment over the coming days.
