"(He will be questioned) if necessary," Chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Polices Public Relations Service Senior Commissioner, Mohammad Iqbal, said here on Tuesday.
But he did not specify whether police investigators just needed a clarification from the energy and mineral resources minister.
He added that the Jakarta Metropolitan Police are still conducting an in-depth study of the shooting incident.
Police investigators are also making an effort to gather several pieces of evidence to strengthen their investigation and trace people who passed by the scene of shooting.
In order to do that, they will analyze recordings of the hidden camera, conduct a ballistic test of bullet projectiles and examine other pieces of evidence, he said.
"We are still hunting down the culprits and are not aware of their motive," he said.
Earlier, a mysterious person had shot at the glass window of the office of the ministrys special staff on the fourth floor of the building at HS Rasuna Said Street in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Thursday (Sept 10) at around 1200 hours local time.
During the investigation, police found several pieces of evidence including projectiles and fragments of a glass window on the fourth floor of the building.(*)
