"Until 8 a.m. Saudi Time or 12 a.m. Western Indonesia Standard Time (WIB) on Wednesday, the number of Indonesians who died in the Mina incident increased by 17 victims from 103 previously reported to 120," Indonesian Hajj Chief Organizer for Mecca area (Daker) Arsyad Hidayat stated here on Wednesday.
Thus, until Wednesday, Indonesians killed in the Mina tragedy numbered 120, comprising 115 who arrived for pilgrimage from Indonesia, and five Indonesian citizens who had settled in Saudi Arabia.
He reported that all the bodies identified on Wednesday were from Indonesia, and most of them were the residents of West Java.
The 17 bodies are Yoyom Maryam Abdullah, Tintin Mulyatin Ahmad Sujadi, Euis Komariah Muharam, Ira Kusmira Dede Herlan, Rumiyati Muhnyono, Ade Sutarna Atang, Suparman Sarkosih Lamiri, Dik dik Mochamad Tasdik, Dahlan Djambek Ardiwijaya, and Rohendi Iskandar Hadiwija.
Others are Wati Ibrahim Saman, Zaini Mauelan Ishaq, Masykur Atmino Asti, Siti Asiah Paijan Wiryo, Mulyono Demo Kaimihan, Lasikki Laompo Rahman, and Sugenng Triyanto Soeratman Hadimulyo.
With 120 confirmed deaths, there are eight more Indonesian pilgrims who have not yet returned to their dormitories. The number dropped from the previously reported 25 pilgrims.(*)
