"The President wanted us to drink coffee together, while discussing the state budget, particularly with regards to the capital injection (to state firms)," House Speaker Setyo Novanto said following a meeting with the President at the Merdeka Palace.
The capital injection to be given to state-owned companies is the center of the governments and the DPRs attention, Setyo said.
"Each of us was trying to find an easy way to discuss the peoples interests while drinking coffee. Of course, the matters (discussed in such a meeting) are very important," he said.
At the meeting, the DPR Chairman also extended an invitation to the President to attend his childs wedding on December 4.
During the meeting, Setyo was accompanied by DPR Deputy Chairmen Fahri Hamzah, Fadli Zon, Taufik Kurniawan and Agus Hermanto.
Fahri said that at the meeting, the DPR leadership gave inputs to the President regarding the discussion of capital injection at the parliament.
The DPR leadership also suggested that the President should set up a strong team, he said.
"Our proposal is that it (the cabinet) should be solid. The President should choose ministers, who are not a political burden for him," he stated.(*)
