While leading Surabaya from 2010 to 2015, Rismaharini was quite professional, particularly in appointing officials of regional apparatus working unit (SKPD), member of the Commission C of the Surabaya Legislative Council M. Machmud said here Tuesday.
"Today is different. During her previous five-year term, Risma was not a party cadre but now she is a cadre (of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle/PDIP)," he said.
Being a party cadre, she put her professionalism on the line, he said.
The posts of SKPD chief will be held by those appointed as a result of the partys intervention, he said citing an example.
In fact, several sub-district heads and village heads have approached PDIP executive board members for certain higher posts, he said.
If appointing officials to certain posts is based on the result of intervention, the administration will not run properly, he said.
"We want Risma to maintain professionalism. Not be easily influenced by any party," he said.
Risma was re-elected to her second five-year term in simultaneous regional head elections held on December 9 last year.(*)
