Jakarta (Antara News) - At least 11 top universities and colleges from the Philippines will participate in Indonesias largest education exhibition: "World Education Expo Festival (WEEF) 2016" to be held in Balai Kartini on February 20 and 21.

A Filipino delegation to be headed by the Trade and Industry Department, will promote the Philippines as a strategic education destination offering affordable education, the Philippines embassy said in a statement on Wednesday.

Filipino Ambassador to Indonesia, Maria Isleta, said her country offers many benefits to Indonesians wanting to study in the Philippines.

The two countries are geographically close, the Philippines universities are of good quality, education fee and living costs are affordable, English is the main language used in the class room, and its culture is similar to Indonesia.

Among the Filipino universities participating in the WEEF 2016 are the Enderun Colleges, the University of Asia and the Pacific, Far Eastern University, the Lyceum University of the Philippines, the University of Mindanao, the University of Bohol, WCC Aeronautical and Technological College, Asian Institute of Aviation, Airworks Aviation Academy, JNBM Amazing Arts Philippines, and Phinma Education Network, which represents six higher education institutions, such as Araullo University in Cabanatuan, Cagayan de Oro College in Cagayan de Oro, the University of Pangasinan in Dagupan, the University of Iloilo in Iloilo, Southwestern University in Cebu, and the Career Academy Asia in Metro Manila. ***4***
